John MacGilvary is Vice President and Chief Growth Officer for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty and a licensed real estate broker in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine. With 23 years of experience, nearly 400 properties listed and sold, and approaching $200 million in sales volume, he serves buyers, sellers, and developers across residential real estate, land development, and new home sales.
Before moving into management, John ranked among the Top 10 agents in his company for five consecutive years, including the #1 position in 2007. He is a Chairman’s Circle award winner and holds the C2EX Endorsement. In his leadership career, he also helped lead a Top 10 Office in the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network three times.
John focuses on Southern New Hampshire and the Seacoast region, especially Rockingham County and Hillsborough County. His core service areas include Manchester, Bedford, Amherst, Londonderry, Derry, Hooksett, Auburn, Candia, Deerfield, Epping, Brentwood, Exeter, Portsmouth, New Castle, Rye, North Hampton, Hampton, and Hampton Falls. He is known for strategic property marketing, skilled negotiation, and helping sellers position homes to achieve stronger outcomes in competitive markets.
Before real estate, John held senior marketing roles with Dell Computer and Gartner. He holds an MBA from Bentley University, a BS from Plymouth State University, is a Certified Residential Specialist, and serves as a Certified Mentor for Buffini & Company. In addition to his brokerage and executive leadership work, he is a speaker at local, regional, and national events and podcasts on brand marketing, property marketing, negotiation, and objection handling.
