About Marg

Even though Marg was born in Maryland, near the Chesapeake Bay, Marg considers herself a “native” of New Hampshire as her parents relocated here when she was only two years old. Her roots, however, have drawn her to water and the Lakes Region, where she and her husband have lived for 40+ years and raised two daughters.

Marg became interested and involved in the field of real estate, after experiencing a great deal of difficulty with the sale of her own home and business in 1995. In an attempt to prevent such frustration with such an important financial undertaking again, Marg became a Realtor in 1996. She went on to become an administrator and Director of Marketing for one of the busiest offices in the Lakes Region.

With years of experience in the emergency medical field, and work in a hospital setting with elder care, plus several years as a co-owner and photographer of a successful portrait and wedding photography studio, Marg has a real knack for communicating, and quickly understanding the needs of people she meets.

When her daughters were grown, Marg embarked on the adventure of a lifetime, helping a friend sail a 32 foot live-aboard boat down the Atlantic Coast. Recently, Marg was able to realize a 20 year dream, purchasing and helping her husband refurbish a 23 ft sailboat which goes in and out of Rye Harbor on the NH coast.

In 2007, Marg chose to step away from administrative work and return to listing and selling property, putting to work her communication skills and her ability to quickly understand the hopes and needs of customers and clients. This has lead to many successful relationships, sales and return business – sometimes a generation down the line.  

Some adventures in Marg’s life include 18 years as a ski instructor and 2 years of Ski Patrol Rescue work at 3 different NH mountains, and teaching grandchildren to swim, hike and camp. Marg and her husband have served as of the caretakers for one week each summer of the historical Captain Haley House out on Smuttynose Island, Iles of Shoals for the past 26 years. Three years ago, Marg and her husband became Stewards of White Island Light, also at the Iles of Shoals 8 miles off the coast of New Hampshire, and serve as trainers for new volunteer Stewards who want to become “lighthouse keepers” and maintain the island and buildings there.

Marg is very passionate about everything she tackles and is always willing to help someone realize success whether buying or selling their home or property anywhere in Central New Hampshire.
